Sibling Class

Madison's sibling class was today. She was so excited to go to her "big sister class."

We ended up going to the hospital early since we really didn't have time to run home. Another mommy and daughter showed up and we all sat there waiting...waiting...waiting........WAITING.

So, I finally went to the information desk and they called someone......well...... evidently the class was cancelled. The nurse who was in charge of having this class had a sick child at home. She tried to call everyone but neither of us got the message. After talking to several people we all left. Next thing I know the woman from the desk was standing behind me at my car. She said that the birth center called her back and said they would give Madison a tour of the birth center. So, I asked Madison if she would like that and she was all for it. Thank goodness because this is all she has talked about for a while now and she said she could barely sleep last night. So, we went back inside and up to the birth center and another couple had brought their daughter in for a tour...they had received the message. So a nurse took us to one of the rooms and brought in a little baby boy named Jack. She held Jack and sat on the floor with the girls. She went over so much with them and showed them Jack's hair, ears, hands, belly button, toes, etc. They loved it! Madison wanted to hold that baby and love on him but she couldn't. Than the nurse let them pick out a knitted hat for their baby's and they were given some other stuff too. Than the nurse gave them popsicles and told them that when they come back to the hospital to come find her and she will give them another. So, all in all, it didn't turn out so bad. Madison was content. Momma was tired!
