Ethan's Stats

Ethan had his 2 month appointment today. Here are his stats:

Weight: 11 lbs 2 oz
Length: 22.5 inches

Just under 50 percentile on both.

He had vaccines today...shots and one oral. However, they were out of the HIB so he will have to have that one at his next appointment. So instead of 5 he only had 4 today.

His doctor heard him coo and laugh...before shots. She was also impressed on how strong his legs were and how well he could hold his head up especially with no wobbling. She also said no cereal or anything else yet...unless I give him a little water but no more than 2 oz in a 24 hour period.

Here is a picture of him taken after we got home from his appointment...he has snoopy bandages.

We Love Our Miss Mads Too

And...we can't forget to post pictures of Miss Mads too. I post so many of Ethan since he is changing so much but I need to post pictures of Madison too. She reminds me of this and so she asked me to take a picture of her and than one of her and her dog...even as dirty as he is. These were taken a few days ago.

First Night In Crib Pictures

Here are pictures I took of Ethan the first night in his crib. What a sweet boy! He loves the blanket that he is laying on...we used it all the time in the bassinet. I thought it would help him sleep in his new bed. If you notice he has a burp rag on his shoulder. Well, he just loves them and he treats them like a favorite blanket or in Madison terms "nigh night." If we put it on his shoulder like in the pictures he turns towards it and seems so comforted. If we don't place it there he keeps moving his head like he is trying to find it. Crazy boy! But, if it helps him fall asleep or comforts him...so be it.

STTN Again!!

Last night Ethan ate at 8:45 and after changing him I put him in his crib. After a bit he was fussy so I went in his room. He sounded like he needed to burp again...yep sure enough that was it. He fell asleep by 9:30pm and slept until 6:33am. Yay! After he ate I put him in his bassinet hoping he would go back to sleep since I was a little tired yet. He went back to sleep at 7am and woke up at 9:10am...nice! That was when I was waking up anyway.

2 Months

STTN

We moved Ethan to the crib in his room on Friday night. We figured it was time. We moved Maddie when she was 7 weeks and she slept 8+ hours after 2 nights. There are lots of reasons why we didn't move him earlier but I won't go into that. Kevin and I both think that sleeping through the night (sttn) is 8 or more hours. Ethan has been sleeping anywhere from 5-7 1/2 hours. Friday night he woke up around 1:30 and so I did feed him. We figured it was a new bed and he wouldn't be use to it the first night for sure. After that I did put him back in his bassinet...he falls asleep so fast in it. I was tired...give me a break! Saturday he did better...we heard him whine a bit but not long enough for me to get up and go to him to nurse him. But, around 4 something he was ready to eat. Not bad for eating at 9pm and going right down. We put him to sleep awake and he falls asleep on his own each time. But, last night (Sunday) he finally sttn. Remember this is 8+ hours. He didn't wake up until 6:50am. I was shocked when I looked at the clock. We are so excited and happy!! Yay Ethan!!! I so hope this continues.
