IT'S A BOY!!!

Our precious little boy is here!

Ethan Karter Roerdink was born at 1:57pm on May 21, 2008. He weighed 8lbs 7oz and was 21 inches long. He is a keeper!! (no induction was needed..yay!!)

Yay..My Last Day of Work!

Well, I am officially on maternity leave as of 2pm today. Yay!

Well...tomorrow I am being induced at 7am...we better go get the car seat tonight. ;o)

No Change!

Nothing is new. I went to work today. It was a long boring day...

My mom arrived today from Colorado.

And...I plan on going to work tomorrow. Yay! My last day for 12 weeks. I won't go back until August 13th.

..........OH...Yes, I Am Still Pregnant!

I forgot to add in my previous posts........I am still pregnant. I was having some pain when we were out and about today but now that I am home...nothing.

I am sure I will be induced on Wednesday but for all of you......I better post and let you know that I am still pregnant.

And...yes...I do plan to go into work tomorrow. Even with my mom arriving sometime tomorrow I will still continue to work until the baby arrives.

Grandma Laura Will Be Here Tomorrow!

My (Melanie's) mom will be arriving tomorrow to spend at least the next two weeks with us. I am so excited as I don't get to see her very much because she lives in Colorado. Kevin has only seen her three times...when we went through Colorado when we moved from Alaska to Wisconsin, when we got married almost 7 years ago, and than last summer when she came to visit for 2 weeks. It will be so nice having her here and Madison can hardly wait.

Lucky Lucky Maddie!!

We spent a great deal of time this weekend (as well as previous weekends) looking at play sets for Madison. Of course, she will have to share with the new baby. However, we really wanted to get her something especially with her being home most of the summer with Momma and the new baby. We needed something to keep her busy in the backyard.

So here is what we got....

It is a Disney Play Set and last year's model was on sale. However, we didn't realize they had a new model until they got it off the top shelf and rang it up. I asked them why it was so much more and than they realized it was a new model. But, since they got it all the way down and had it ready to load into our neighbor's truck...we got a HUGE discount. Yay! Even better! The discounted it on their own without us even saying a word. Kevin really wanted to build one but looking at cost and time we went this route. It will be easy to add onto this later. We still can't believe we got a newer model for the same price as last year's model on sale. I am not sure when daddy will get this put together. He is hoping by Wednesday. Guess we will see. We saved a lot even though it wasn't cheap. But, it will get used so much.
