Check Out Maddie!

Finally the picture I said I would post. Doesn't she look so grown up? :o) Nah, she is still my sweet "babes" and cute no matter how her hair is...short, long, up, down....

She loves her hair and can't wait to go to "pretty school."

Madison's Hair

Today Madison got her hair cut. I wanted to get it cut before pre-school starts on September 6th so we went tonight. I asked Madison if she wanted it trimmed or cut short for weeks now and she kept going back and forth...such a woman! I wanted her to decide...especially since I couldn't decide. :o) Anyway, she ended up getting 6 inches cut off. She looks way different but still...CUTE! Anway, I didn't get a chance to take a picture yet. I will soon...and I will post it.

Fun At The Children's Museum

Arts & Crafts.....Madison loves to cut things!
Hm....this reminds me of the caterpillar from the community picnic...very familiar.
Madison says that in this picture she is a monkey.
How cute! Is she resting from all the fun?

Story Time With Franklin The Turtle

Daddy took Madison to the Children's Museum for story time with Franklin the Turtle. Evidently Franklin didn't say a word..someone else read the story. But, who cared...I don't think anyone did. Madison said "he wore a costume...it's just a costume." Nothing gets past her. :o) If you look....for those of you that I work with....there are some other familiar faces in the crowd. They are the faces of the boys of the former Director of Payment Services...... basically the former boss of my boss. His wife took their three boys (Caleb, Ean, and Eli) to see Franklin too. Madison's loves those boys!! What a fun time at the museum. Thanks Daddy!

Community Picnic

Today we went to the Greenville Community Picnic beginning with the parade at 10:30am. Madison got plenty of candy and misc things. At the parade the Civic Club handed out raffle tickets to all children ages 1-12. They had to be turned in by 1:30. The raffle tickets (free) were for a bicycle raffle and they were giving away 200 bikes. However, since they didn't have to be turned in until that time we went home for about 30 minutes and than returned to the park. We wrote Madison's name on the ticket and placed it in the girl bucket. After that we went and ate lunch ..hamburgers, brats, hotdogs, etc. And...of course we had to have some free sweet corn. I love that stuff. And..since we had so much time to spare...Madison went to ride the free rides. She had a blast! Met some friends...she meets new "friends" all the time. So, she rode the rides over and over with some girl. After a while we met up with our neighbors and spent the remainder of the time at the park with them...and more neighbors, etc. The raffle started at 2:00 and lasted almost 2 hours. A long time...good thing we had great people to hang out with...Needless to say, Madison did not win a bike. One of our neighbors did at the end...maybe next year! All in all, it was a fun day!!
