Baby Is Still Baking!

No baby yet! The baby seems to want to bake longer.

I had a lot of back pain yesterday afternoon and last night. I also felt my stomach tightening so I am pretty sure I was having more contractions. Nothing painful except my back. I didn't sleep hardly at all...rough night. However, it has all subsided.

Today I even helped Kevin spread mulch...my neighbors were shocked. I need something to keep me busy though.

Kevin, Madison, and I took a late afternoon nap. We were all so tired. I think we got up around 7pm. :o) Than we called our neighbor (her husband is out of town) to see if she wanted to go to Red Robin with us. We weren't sure if she would since it was so late but she said yes. Her daughter fell asleep right before we got there and she debated if she should wake her. She ended up waking her up. Kevin, Madison, and I had dinner and my neighbor had dessert.

Doctor's Appointment Today

I had a doctor's appointment today to do a NonStress test to check on how the baby is. Kevin and Madison went with. Kevin hasn't been to any of the appointments since the ultrasound. No big deal not much happens anyway and he went to all of them when I was pregnant with Madison.

They checked my blood pressure and it had spiked. So they were concerned. They made me lay on my left side and rest and than they came back in to check it. I thought oh no here we go...I thought I might be induced today. I didn't want to be induced due to high blood pressure and so I prayed it would go down. They let me rest for like 5 minutes and when they checked my blood pressure it was way down. It was how it normally is when I am not pregnant. Yay! I was worried. I am suppose to rest. No wonder I felt terrible all day and barely made it through the day at work today.

After my blood pressure dropped they hooked me up to the machines to monitor the baby. I thought I would be there 45 minutes and I remembered how long I had to be hooked up when I was overdue with Madison. However, at most I was monitored for 10 minutes. And...to my surprise I had a contraction and didn't even know. Yay! I never had contractions with Maddie. I remember being monitored even 2 weeks overdue and not one contraction. So, this is huge. Yay! I say bring them on..especially if I can't feel them.

My doctor called to verify the induction day and it is Wednesday...not Tuesday. So, I go back on Wednesday at 7am to be induced. So here is hoping I progress more or go on my own before that.

My Daily Update

Well, I figure I better keep posting every day so people know what is going on.

And...the answer today is..................NOTHING. Still pregnant. No baby yet!

It was a nice day today. After dinner Madison played outside with a neighbor girl, Allie. And...the other neighbor girl, Allie, sat on her blanket in the grass..she is just over a year so she can't run around with Madison and her 3 year old friend. Yep..two neighbor girls with the same name..except the 1 year old's full name is Allison and the 3 year old's name isn't short for anything. Hm...they had a blast watering our deck and mopping it. :o)

40 Week Appointment - Good News/Bad News..Better Than No News

So I had my 40 week appointment. I was due Monday. My doctor told me at my last appt that he would talk induction today. I am so not for inducing but I had it in my head that it was time. Madison was born on my mother-in-law's mother's birthday so I was kind of hoping that this baby was going to be born tomorrow on my father-in-law's mother's birthday. How cool would that be? I never met either of them but thought it would be cool. I knew he wouldn't induce today since my appt was at 11:30 but thought tomorrow he would and I even thought he might do the gel today. Nope. Well, it took him forever to hear the heartbeat. Than he checked me and to my surprise I was at a fingertip or 1 cm dilated. OMG I was shocked to say the least. I never dilated with Madison on my own. I was 2 weeks overdue and having contractions 7 minutes apart and even lost my plug days before and never dilated. I was on pitocin all day for over 12 hours with Madison and only got to 1 1/2 cm dilated. So, I was really shocked. Anyway, he couldn't even offer to induce me tomorrow because there are no beds...the birthing center is full. Crazy huh? Today is my sil's bday and she so was ready to come watch Madison so she could take a couple of days off work and spend time with her niece. Anyway, my doctor called to see when the earliest day would be that there would be a bed and was told Tuesday morning. He only wanted me to go a week over my due date so that is pretty close. So, I think I will be induced at 7am on Tuesday. I have to go back on Friday to do the NonStress test to check on the baby though. If I wasn't so swollen I would probably beg my doctor not to induce me yet. I am so not for that. But, the swelling is insane. My mom started driving today from Colorado - on her way here to Wisconsin. She is going to be staying a couple of days with my sister in Nebraska and a friend in Illinois. She never came when I had Madison so I am excited. She doesn't have to be here when I am in the hospital and she plans to stay 2 weeks. My sister is also coming from Nebraska and had planned on coming this Friday and staying until Friday but now she may wait so she can come and be here a full week when the baby is here. Oh.....needless to say, I was so emotional after my appointment...mixed feelings. But, I am good now. And to think the ultrasound said baby was due May 8th......I knew that wouldn't happen. But, yay...at least something happened since last week....

I figure I better post something.

The baby must be just as stubborn as Madison was. It is almost the end of the day and nothing going on.

Tomorrow I have a doctor's appointment at 11:30am. So we shall see what the doctor suggests or if anything has changed.

Baby Is Due

Well our baby is due today...and nope...the baby decided it wasn't time.

I went to work and everyone was surprised to see me. Not sure why. They should know after I was 15 days overdue with Madison that I probably would not have this baby on time.

Nothing is going on...I could be considered overdue. The ultrasound gave May 8th as the due date. Good thing the doctor didn't move my due date up to the 8th.

Well, I am sure I will be at work tomorrow. I received a lot of emails today asking if I was at work or still pregnant. I am sure I will receive some tomorrow as well.

The baby will be here soon...no matter what.

My next appointment is Wednesday so we will see if anything is going on or if the doctor will start inducing.
